Where are some good places to advertise a small senior portrait business?

How do you think photographers get there customers for senior portraits?
Do they go to schools and speak with board members and hang up flyers at the schools or what?
Where should I hand out flyers in the summer for my senior portrait business?
i just started a portrait photography business and want to get some business this summer for seniors.I have my website up and pricing, and am getting flyers and business cards printed. I would like to hand them out in person. Since it summer and school is out, where do seniors and parents hang out? Where can I do this?
What do senior portrait reps normally do? Anything besides promote the studio?
I filled applied to be one at a local studio a few weeks ago but probably won't know for a few more days if i got it.i won't actually be in the studio most of the time. they're going to do my shoot for free, and then i'm supposed to promote it at outside events and school.sales jobs are nothing new to me. my whole family's been in sales at one point or another.

I am a senior in high school and I have seen that for senior portraits it cost about $300 to $500. this type of deal only cost around $30 at walmart or costco to print a bunch of wallets, 8x10, 5x7, you name it. Photographers are making bank on a 1 2 hour photo shoot. I would like to do senior portraits of my friends and make a little profit. I was thinking of charging $50 an hour. I am in photography, I have done it at school and in 4 H, won in photo shows, went to state and got first. I have a nice camera canon rebel digital. I don't have all the lighting equipment so I would shoot outdoors. HOW DO I LEGALLY DO SENIOR PORTRAITS?? WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO BE LEGAL?? WHAT SHOULD I CHARGE? ANY OTHER TIPS OR ADVICE FOR ME??
