I am compiling some info for a class assignment and would like some advice from professional photographers. What type of photographer are you? What equipment did you start out with? What equipment would you recommend starting a digital photography business today? In your opinion, what market is in the highest demand? What advice do you have for graduating college students thinking of starting their own digital photography business on a tight budget? Can I list you as a source for my assignment?Let me elaborate a bit. I am, along with a class partner, putting together an information style manual for graduating DIGITAL photographers. This is a class assignment and we will be including information regarding acquiring your business license, G.S.T. Number, equipment advertising and pricing etc The whole point is, as a student, most of us will be in debt due to college expenses and we need some advice on how to start a business on a tight budget. What I need to know from established photographers is what equipment is essential for each style of photography etc. Some positive replies would be appreciated though at this point I am getting discouraged.
