If i'm a mystery shopper in QC, Canada, do i have to pay taxes?
I'm a student, still dependent on the parents. I decided to apply to be a mystery shopper for a little extra spending money. Does this mean I have to declare this as revenue and pay taxes now? I don't expect to be getting a whole lot I just got accepted , but it definitely won't be more than your average part time student's pay...

I'm a stay at home mom that has very little, and I mean VERY LITTLE, time on my hands D. Daycare rates are OUTRAGEOUS in my area and I am currently unemployed. I was looking into that InboxDollars programme i saw on Good Morning America but I recently heard that too was a scam. I would really appreciate answers from home business owners or people who have tried these online survey programmes. Thank you very much D

Hi I was wondering if anybody as had any experience in mystery shopping ive looked it up abit and apparently there are some scam sites but others are apparently genuine.I am looking for extra income as moneys very hard to just come across and i don't have many extra hours to do anything else. But as this is apparently a job where u can pick your own hours, shop, dine and get paid for it.I would be grateful if anybody could share any of there experiences with mystery shopping?Thanks

I received an email asking me to be a mystery shopper for Walmart. I decided to agree. Today I recieved two money grams for $900 each. So I decided to check here in Answers to see if this is a scam. The email I recieved does not say to send money .Below is the email they sent me from Phoenix AZ. I emailed them and told them what Walmart I will do business. I'm a little skeptical of this . You have been hired as one of our Mystery shopper Survey Agent.You will be evaluating Wal Mart Stores and Money Gram Services in your neighborhood, kindly check out for one Wal Mart store and one Money Gram Agent outlet you would like to evaluate, make sure the store and the outlet you will choose are close to your area as much as possible.You will have to send the name and address of the two locations to us, Please note that you are to act Cool, Calm and Confident through out the period which you will be carrying out your survey at the store, in order not to arouse any suspicion.You will be shopping at Wal Mart stores and also make a transaction at the Money Gram, You will write a report about the customer services, you will send your report back to us via Email, you will have to use the following pointers to prepare your report 1 How long it took you to get services.2 Ambiance Outlook of the Shop Outlet3 Smartness of the attendant4 Customer service professionalism5 Reaction of personnel under pressure6 Information that you think would be helpful7 Your comments and impressions.A package will be sent to you,inside the package you will find your Compensation payment and other funds you will use to carry out your surveying process.You must not use your personal money to complete any of the surveying process and there will be no reimbursement of any kind since we are providing you with all the fund you will need to carry out the survey.An Evaluation Instruction will be given to you through email, this will tell you what to do at the Wal Mart and the Money Gram location and how to expend the fund at each location. I got a cheque from spain for a mystery shopper job for 2500 to cash to HSBC it has my name on it and is signed. A guy phoned me from spain to ask if i received a cheque, and i dint realise why i would be receiving a cheque then he said its for your mystery shop job, and i was like i know i signed up for it ages ago but didnt know i wud be receiving the cheque and what for, he then told me to phone him when i received it buti have no number.....scam?
