I am importing an item from China to my customer in the UK, my supplier is saying that China customs has stopped the item their side and asking for a payment, so the supplier says, I thought when the item leaves China and comes into UK that the UK customs and excise would take payment on entering the country and not an additional payment on their sideWhen the supplier is stating in their own conditions and what they sent when they originally gave me terms for trading there was no mention of customs charge in their country but the receivers country and stating that I will not need to pay customs charges I would think with all this in mind then I would not need to pay 2 lots just the 1

I am about to import cigarette paper in the form of booklets. Costs associated with importing from China to Canada?
This is the situation...I worked for a company that imported cabinets for me personally, they were ordered in April 2010. They arrived June 2010. I received a bill for the cost of the items, the cost of importing the items, customs broker fees, pst and gst and now I'm told I also have to pay hst. That would mean I'm paying a total of 26 % tax on these items. Is this correct? Will I get any of this back? Will the owner of the company get any of this back in the form of a credit? I'm anxious to know, this is turning into a nightmare.I am aware of the risks of importing from China, that is why I used my boss to order it because he orders full containers and the damage is at a minumum and you control the packaging. I've had orders detained because someone elses shipment did not have the correct paper work for their wood packaging. That was a flippin' nightmare. But my issue right now are costs. I think I'm being taken advantage of with regards to costs associated with the order. I can't see paying pst, gst and hst on the same order. He says I am a purchaser and must pay the hst because I took deliver after the deadline for hst, but why then do i have to pay gst and pst too?
How to pay my sale taxes from cell phones imported from china?
I just recently ordered a small lot of gsm cell phones from china, i already have my tax id since i want to start an online business but i didn't pay import duty from these phones since were under declared by the seller, my question is how should i declare this sale tax? since i started i have sold just one cell phone that i purchased from a us wholesaler, i can't have a big stock or wait too long until i sell expensive or fancy phones.
