I am applying for an eBay Mastercard. What does being "accepted" mean?
I am applying for an eBay Mastercard online but I don't necessarily want the card. It is asking for my social security number and date of birth, but I don't want to give it to them if they are going to set up the account immediately after I qualify and give me a card. I just want to see if I am eligible or if I am accepted. So does giving them my information authorize them to open the account? I see percentages everywhere.. Then it said if I don't qualify for the ebay mastercard they'd see if I was eligible for a paypal buyer credit card with an APR of 20.80 %. I don't know much about credit but that sounds high. The APRs on the ebay mastercard are 12.24 % 21.24 %. The reason I didn't want to apply for a card at my bank Wells Fargo is because I don't have a job where you get paychecks and they wanted to verify my place of employment or something. I am not dealing drugs or anything though. Any advice? My purchase amount will be 700.

I recently applied for and received the ebay mastercard.When I activated it the guy told me not to use it for about 4 or 5 days.Would anyone know why I had to wait?He probably told me, but I wasn't able to understand him very well.He had an accent.Also I'm not able to view my account online.It says account not accessible online.I have tried several times to view my account.Anyway,On the paypal site it says minimum payment due0.00 payment due date 6 1 08 then it says current credit balance and it gives the amount.I haven't received any statement in the mail or by email yet.Shouldn't I have gotten a statement by now if it's due on the 1st?Or will it be on the next billing cycle. Oh,by the way,I just used the card last week.Thanks in advance.
