Question: Looking for good wholesale and drop shipping sites?

Been searching the web for reputable companies to start buying stock from. Currently a graphic designer with lots of web and seo experience thinking of starting a website selling good of interest, one problem I am having is finding genuine sources to buy from. Just wondering if there are any suggestions for quality stockists who have the stock they say and offer a good mark up for ROI?

You used the word stockists so presumably you are from the uk or perhaps Australia / New Zealand. Why don't you look at other drop ship sites in the industry you are interested in and see what products they sell? You can usually tell they are drop-ship if the products say something like usually ships in 2-3 days. You then have a list of manufacturers / distributors to call on. I used to distribute baby products and was very selective about drop ship sites I allowed to carry the product. They were charged a drop ship fee so their margins were less than stocking accounts (which is fair). As for mark ups, each industry is different. Soft goods in baby products (bibs, sheets, blankets, etc) had higher margins than furniture, push chairs etc. Overall the markups were lower than other industries though.

Your right they are hard to find :( but the only answers people will give you here are links to there own sites. Try DHGate.com or some other China based supplier for cheap goods. To buy from a wholesaler you really need a lot of money up front say £500 to buy a lot of them very rarely will they sell 1 item at wholesale cost otherwise try and join up with your local wholesalers stores like costco and see what they have there you can sell.
