Grants available for starting a child care center?
I've always wanted to start my own center and not one in my home. I found the building, have my business plan and my program completed. The only thing that I don't have is start up funds for the building and equipment. I know what sites to look at but each one tries to sell something or doesn't give any information unless you pay a fee. I'm sure that there is someone that has done this and can direct me in a direction or has an idea as to who or where to go. Any suggestions would help...Thanks
I am trying to get things together to start a child care center for disabled children. I am in need of funding
I have heard there is government money out there for small businesses and maybe I could get a grant from the no child left behind act. How do I go by this and where can I find them. Thanks.
How can I start a child care center?
I live in Illinois, where can I find the funding to finance my venture? I have two semesters until I finish my bachlors in sociology but I am thinking of sitting out and starting my business. I have three children, single parent and good child care is always an issue for me to work traditional hours. I am always told I am good with children and my ultimate college and career goals is to work with women and children. Where can I find help to start a business and is this a good idea?
Can I start a child care center that is only for members of my church as a non-profit 501c3?
I'm looking to start an hourly child care center for members of my church so that they can more easily attend church services. It will not be affiliated directly with the church, but the services are geared only towards members of the church curriculum will be faith based . As far as I can tell from the Internal Revenue Code, in order for a child care organization to claim 501c3 non profit exempt status according to Article 501k , the care they give must enable individuals parents to be gainfully employed, and the services must be available to the general public. Since my child care center would not fulfill either of those requirements, is it safe to say there is no way I can start the organization as a non profit? Is there something I'm missing? What if the center was set up as a " school" instead of a childcare organization? Could it operate as an educational organization while tending the children, and be a non profit?
