What do you pay for daycare services?
as we all know daycare is not cheap. I am wondering what state you live in and how much you pay per child?I tried to find NYS guidelines on this and cant, so thought I would ask all of you what you pay.thanks.
How can you find out if a parent claimed more money on their taxes then they paid you for daycare services?
I run a daycare in my home and am " listed" within my state.I had a few parents who either took off without paying me or I had to terminate. It is tax time and I am not sure if they have filed without me giving them a end of the year statement.I have not giving out my information but they do have my name and home address. These people are really sneaky and I wanted to know what if I filed a different amount than what they claimed and it were way less than their reporting?I have receipts and I know for a fact that some of the parents did not keep them I would find them in the child's bag abandoned .Is there a way for me to see who all filed and their amounts?First of all,it is MY BUSINESS to know if they are lying and saying that they have paid me a certain amount when they have not.Secondly, according to the IRS,they must exhaust all ways of contacting me to get my information like tax i.d. and furthermore, they have to go and send me a form requesting it,IF I have not done so after they request it from me.Stop making this look like I am just nosey and am trying to cheat on my very own taxes. You have no respect for people who work inside of their homes.I am 100 % sure that if someone claimed they paid you 2,000 when they paid you 500,you would feel the same way.Cash under the table, you are ridiculous for asking. That's interesting...I didn't know that I could actually put the bad debt as a lose on my taxes. For the record,I do not accept checks from parents because I know that people around here will give a hot one.
What is a reasonable price to charge clients for daycare services?
I'm thinking about starting a daycare center. All advice would be helpful.
