Certifications to work in a day care?
I am looking to apply at a few day cares. Before I do that, I wanted to see what certifications I should look into getting that would help me in finding a job? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Can a fourteen-year-old get a job at a child day care center?
I really need a summer job, and there's a child day care center less than a mile from my house that I could walk to. I like working around kids, and I've babysat in the past. I'm not certified, but I could possibly get certified if necessary. Thanks in advance.

Dependent day care expenses?
Hello,I had a newborn girl this year, i enrolled her under my insurance within 30 days, but i forgot to keep pretax dollarsaside for her day care expenses frommy pay check. Now my employer's HR dept is saying, i cant make this change.My question is, can i claim this when i will be filing tax return for this year. For the rest of this year, the day care expense is going to be 5000.00, and i have to pay this from my after tax salary for rest of the years, so wondering if i can claim this? thanks,

Is a CNA needed in an adult day care facility?
I'm a CNA in Texas and Im looking for a job in an adult day care center. Are CNA's needed there? I would rlly enjoy working with the elderly as they do arts & crafts, and I don't mind assisting in personal cleaning etc. I don't rlly wants to work a nursing home or hospital. For some reason a day care seems like a happier place. If they don't need CNA what else could I apply for there?

I am a single mom i am working almost full time and going to school... I'm considering opening a church affiliated day care. What do I need to know?
Originally, after talking with the Pastor of my church, we wanted to open the church during the summer for childcare. While this still may be possible, I'm not sure that we would be up to codes without having to pay quite a bit of money. A day care just recently shut down in the area and the building is vacant. The building is obviously already up to codes to include it being all one level, fire exits, and fenced in play area. I don't believe it shut down because there wasn't need. There are only 2 day care centers in the county, with both in the same city. Our area needs one Or, at least I think they do Rather, I don't think they were enforcing the payment policy and I know of several employees who hadn't received a check in a few months. No one will continue to work that long without pay, so I think they just started to quit and weren't able to pay rent. I'm a college student with a major in Business with a focus on photography. I've read that you don't have to have a degree in order to run a day care, but I'm not sure the validity of that. I am aware that all employees must be 18 and CPR and First Aid trained. I have 6 nephews and have been around children my whole life. I am in charge of the church nursery and have babysat for members in the community on multiple ocassions. I would however like to be able to continue school even once the day care is open. I would enlist the help of family, and other church members to serve teaching positions. We also have 2 people that formally owned a very successful resturaunt that would be willing to be on the kitchen staff to serve the children with well balanced meals. I guess my question is... what do I need to know? The ups and downs of running a day care facility? Would I be able to work and go to school? Do the employees require any special degree in child development? This is in the state of Tennessee. Thank you God Bless

Can you be hired at doggie day cares?
Today, I decided I really want to work at this doggie day care near my home. I just want to be like a starter job.I was wondering, can people work at doggie day cares or do they have to be volunteers? Does it depend on the day care you go to? Either way it goes, I'd still like to be there with the pets I've always loved animals and taking care of them will make me feel so much better than working at a cash register all day. No offense to those who work behind the register, it's just that I don't think I could handle scanning items for so long. It's not a bad job but I'm not interested...it may be one of those last resort jobs for me. D

Day Care worker career?
I had researched that day care workers don't get paid a lot. I really want to work with kids, but the problem is with low pay.Is this a good career for me or not?I am a intern for a Pre k class in Early childhood education in high school right now.I'm going to college this upcoming year to get my certificate in ECE
