Last year my wife wanted to work so we put our youngest child in daycare The older boys also were put in after school daycare . My wife has a degree so for 3 months she tried to get a job that would tailor to her degree, well needless to say my wife got pregnant and then she did volunteer work for a little bit but then decided not to work. We took our two older boys out of after school daycare but opted to keep the youngest in so my wife could get a break and for our son to interact with kids his age to further his development. I pay 400 dollars a month for my child's day care and I paid about 300 a month for my boys after school day care, I want to know if I am eligible for the child care deduction since my wife never physically held a job?

Does anybody know if ccpo (child care service) will still allow your child in daycare for online schooling?
would anybody know that ccpo will allow your child to be in daycare while doing online classes as long as your online schooling is supervised or you can fax all your reports to them and course plan schedule. Because I am scared to call CCPO myself and ask I am afraid of rejection. I have no choice but to do my school online now. I am going for a degree in Web Design full time college student on a pell grant, full time single parent whom doesn't get any help from the father and am working at a part time job. I can't afford for my child to get kicked off at daycare cause I have to do my online classes at home. And I can't afford to drive to another college an hour or more out of my way. Live in a small town, and the course plan is only offered online at the college I am going to apply to. I would rather still be at a campus doing in class, but I have no choice but online now. They say on the workforce website that they will provide child care services if you are working attending school or training. Well school is school, whether it is online or not. I can't do it at home. So I'm getting a laptop it's required for the course anyways and I was hoping to do it on the college campus that I am currently going to. The college I am going to is small and doesn't have a web design course plan. So I am stuck in this small town with limited options. And I can't move right now. I have a 2 year old, and I will not be able to focus on my work with all the distractions and watching him. Can't do all the work when he has gone to bed cause it's too much and I'm already struggling to juggle all the things that I'm doing, working school. So can they supervise my schooling for me? Or can I do it at the college campus and get someone to sign off of it, and fax my reports and everything? Will they allow that? Does anybody know?
Applying for a job in child care services?
I am 19 years old. I have never had a job anywhere before besides the babysitting gigs. I have a very nice resume, however. I have listed my babysitting gigs as child care services. My real question is, is it alright to attach my recommendation letters to my resume all on different pages of course. There are only two Also, should I attach a copy of my clearances as well and then be sure to take the originals to interviews if they're interested in me?Please help I feel so lost and alone about this all

Rules/regulations for a small, in home child care service.?
I am looking into starting a small in home child care service for some friends and family over the summer months. It would not be big, no more that 8 or 10 kids a day, all elementary age. I am just wondering if anybody has any information as to what sorts of laws there are or regulations as to what is allowed and what isn't. For 2007 taxes, is it true for parent about gettin full refund for child care services?
I was told that if you file your taxes on a specific date you can get the full refund for all child care services that you paid for in 2007 instead of the normal 35 %, is this true? and is so, would you happen to know the date?

Need opinions on child care services business I want to start?
I am located in Fl. I am doing a project for my business capstone class in which I must solve a business problem. I need to create a business plan and need some opinions. I want to focus on child care since I am a parent and have used child care services before and have worked with children although not in a typical daycare setting . My idea for childcare has to solve a problem, so I was thinking along the lines of a. Drop in care for parents who need some quiet time or to get schoolwork done, etc. A facility in which the parent would come, pay hourly for the childcare, and would have a separated area for parents to sit, surf the web, watch tv, do homework, read a book, etc. The parent would have to stay on site for this option. Florida has no licensing requirements for this option which is why I thought of it initially.b. Drop in care, parent off site. Parents can come, drop their child off restricted hours, probably 8am 12am and 5pm 9pm to go out to dinner, get grocery shopping done, go to the movies, etc. Payment would still be hourly. This would work well for those who work nights and had the sitter call off. Licensing may be an issue with this, not sure yet.Please let me know what you think, which option you like, if they all suck, etc. I appreciate the feedback.
How to get reimbursement for dependent care if I have deducted more than actual child care service?
I deducetd around 2000$ in childcare and moved to new company where i deducted another $2400. I didn't know that I had already deducted $2000 in child care for year 2007 when I applied for childcare in new company. Our total childcare expenses for the year 2007 was $2800 only. Is there any way I can get reimbursement of full 2000 2400 which i deducted in childcare expenses for 2007.
