How to value a child care business?
We are in the process of negotiating to buy a child care business in NJ which has been in business for about 10 years, well run and has about 75 kids. The annual revenue is, say 750K with net profit being 250K. What should be our offer?Hi Edward,Thanks for your feedback. Yes, we will be reviewing the financials. Do you think a child care business in the mall would be very profitable?
The center would allow you to shop in peace, or leave the mall and do what ever you had to do. You would be charged about $5 $8 and hour. You would also have the option of purchasing snacks or bringing in your own. The staff would all be certified cpr adults.

I want to start my own child care business but?
I have been arrested once for failure to appear in court to answer because I had to work .I work in healthcare so leaving patients unattended would have gotten me fired. I want to be truthful to parents who ask , will this hurt my chances of being a succsessful daycare owner? Do I need to disclose this infor in the first place? Will this show ono a background check. I have always had to have a background check and none of my employers faulted me for this, but will it be different for child care?

I got my license for my child care business for a month now. And had been trying to market my child care? So?
Far I had place ads on craigslist, made a myspace for my childcare, posted flyers at libraries, made a large sign outside my house, made business cards, told a few friends and family, registered with the childcare refferal agency, got myself a catchy childcare name the name is now legally mine My house is set up and child proof, I have all paperworks organized, Added summer discounts, and my rates are low to start. I am near a elementary school and headstart. What am i still doing wrong??? A few people called and emailed me but that is it I feel a bit discouraged...What else should i do??? I want to be creative but I dont want to overspend on my marketing?? I know to be patient but I spend alot on marketing and now i just want to start watching children. Please give me some ideas??
