Me and my buddy are starting up a window washing business?
me and a buddy of mine went half and half into this window washing venture. my question is how would i convince a business to have their windows washed more frequently so that it would be a benefit to me and him and them as well. i have already put the name on the dba and handed out a few business cards to local businesses so haven't heard from them yet. id really like to pick up steam here in the next month or two. i know it takes awhile to get regular customers after referral to referral but like to actually start making money. i already got a truck and he needs to get one too but not anytime soon yet. we are independent contractors to keep taxes separate from the business name. i feel good about this venture and know it can work. so any tips advices ill take.
Window washing business?
I'm a college student who has time on the weekends. I was thinking of going around to small local business in the shopping centers and offering them a window cleaning service. It came to me because so of the store fronts are disgraceful and what better way to make some quick cash. I was just wondering what the best way to approach it would be. I was thinking I could go to a business ask if they want their windows washed every 2 weeks on Saturday give then a little bit about myself, why I'm doing it and what they can get out of it or beat the price of their current window washer. I'm just curious about pricing. Do I charge $10 per window thats about 15 ft by 6ft when they have about 3 or 4 in the store front? Is that too much or too little? Also what tools would I need and where can I get them at a fair price locally? Thanks so much
What obstacles could I expect to find in the Commercial Window Washing business?
Hey all, my mom & I are starting a small Janitorial Service and want to just focus on small office buildings, but I don't want to approach it saying " We don't do windows" even though a good friend advised to do just that since windows are a whole other animal. If there's a one story with two story tall windows in a corner area about 15feet tall no higher with a reception desk covering one partial wall of grid windows and the other windows seem to be reachable at floor level and there's a desk by one wall of windows, I know you have to see it to know but can I get an idea as to, what kind of obstacles could I genereally expect and should I even consider saying yes to the window or referring a window washing company. THanks
