Small business ideas for $20,000 investment for mentally challenged person?
I have an Associates degree in video production. I worked for 15 years as an editor 1993 2008 for a company that produced mainly industrial training and safety videos. My first attempt at college in 1983 was a complete failure due to drug addiction and a mental disorder. I have chronic major depression with psychotic features. Basically I am very withdrawn, to the point of being anti social at times. I have delusions and some auditory hallucinations. At times I can get it under control. For example I sobered up in 1990 and enrolled in community college. Now it wasn't a Ivy League school, but I did graduate with a 3.7 GPA, just .05 of graduating with honors. It took about a year to find a job in my field, but I stuck it out and made it. When I got the job, I did well for over 14 years. Then I had a severe melt down. I was sent out on short term disability in 2008 for 6 months. About 4 months after I left, the company I worked for went under. It isn't easy to find video production jobs everywhere. Big cities, yeah, but suburbs and small towns, not so much. I can't use public transportation. I can't go shopping during busy times. Crowds frighten me. I went to NYC for a 6 day vacation and on my 3rd day there, I left because I couldn't take it.I'm a bit better, but not as well as I was say back in the 1990's. No drugs or alcohol, at least. I work for the animal control office in my town. I work three seven hour days doing office work and a seven hour day on Saturday's doing field work. I do very well with animals. I have no problem with big dogs. It doesn't even stress me out picking up dead animals from motor vehicle accidents and taking reports. Problem is the job pays $280 per week and only has a high deductible, high co pay health insurance plan. Full time, union employees have a great plan. Part timers like me have about the cheapest policy they could find. I'm nearly destitute from this job, but I love it. I get along with animals very well. Animals get along with me very well. When I am not at work, I volunteer one day a week at the local humane society. Dealing with people, it is best that it is one one one. If I deal with two or more people, I get the feeling they are ganging up on me. I just can't help it. I was thinking animal trainer. This is something I am good at already. I also have been very good at photographing animals, so photo studio is another idea. I can't go to a wedding, I'll freak out. I freaked out at my own back in 1996. I have $10,000 that was given to me last year. I will be given another $10,000 this year. The money is in an ING savings account earning about 1 %. Do I have enough to outfit a studio? I'm sure I could financially handle the dog training costs. I plan on keeping my part time job. I probably will be able to get out of the field work on Saturday and do one more office day during the week.Do either jobs sound like a good 2nd income? Thanks.

Farmers market small business idea...need advice?
i have three things to ask.....one do you need a license to sell sauces and condiments? i know you need the local liscense from the town you sell in but what about the food like bbq sauces and so on?second i am looking for a catchy name for it.my name is lisa,maiden name lepack and married name dagenais....i would have the family helping out to ensure we are succesfull in the business.i also plan on bringing samples where you can tastes the sauces.so an actual bbq running will also help bring the customers in with watering mouths.three with the bbq grilling...i was thinking of selling hotdogs with the flavorful sauces,and grilled chicken...am i able of doing this with my booth? they will have the choice of either sampling the product in tiny shot bowls or also buying a hot dog or chicken or something in that nature to get the full effect of the taste..and for those wondering i can get the chicken at very low cost.any other ideas or promoting you think would run good with this idea would be greatly appreciated thank you
