How can I start a VERY small catering business from my home in NYC?
The job market is just HORRIBLE and I want to start an extremely small catering business, from my home, in NYC. I will probably only serve 1 2 companies a day, at MOST, but it's SOME sort of income. How can I start out? I mean, licenses tax issue? That's really my only issue here.

I would like to start a catering business from my home to sell prepacked food to the markets is it possible?

I know that state to state there are different guidelines but I am very interested in opening a catering business from my home. I love to cook and not to toot my own horn but i am quite good at it. I would like to know if anyone knows the basic requirements for doing something like this out of your home as to not have problems with local law enforcement. Any helpful information would be great.
