He asked me what is involved in buying a lease think he was on about a restaurant at the time but not sure as he was going a million miles an hour with a shortlist of businesses that was nothing like a short list .I told him to speak to someone who is way more clued up than me I don't have my own business but my understanding was that, essentially, by purchasing the lease from the current business you are paying them to move out so you can move in and rent the property for your purpose be it continuing with the restaurant or whatever it is, or using it for a completely different purpose ...1. Is that correct?2. He then asked what would happen when the lease expired in, say, five years time.
