Need start-up business advice?
I'm looking into starting a parent child centered class. I'm hoping it will eventually turn into multiple classes, and possibly my own business. My question is, should I start my first class es through community education offered in my area? Or would it be smarter just to do it on my own? I'm hoping to be allowed to teach in a church or possibly in a school building when they are not in use. Do I need to be licensed and insured to do this?I know little about how to do this. All I have is an idea, but not much else. Any advice on starting a business is very appreciated

Starting personal business advice?
I'm planing to start some kind of business. The things I'm good at is, writing, drawing, creating, making BBQ ribs, cake pops, pizza. I would start a restaurant of some sort but am in a bad economical situation, and I'm really interested in being an online seller, eBay and such, have been for about 3 years but not sure how to start. I've already done my research on it but my most urgent question is, how do I get drop shippers or vendors? Warehouses, manufacturers? Good Prices? I don't want to have to deal with scams as I'm already almost homeless and with a family to care for. Any help would be much appreciated

!!!Business advice urgently needed!!! Wholesale prices? How much to charge?
I'm looking for some business advice. I recently started a jewellery business, producing handmade items. I have been approached by someone who wants to sell my products, alongside his own stuff. My question is, if I produce items for wholesale how much should I charge said person? I have no idea about anything like this and I don't even know who I would go to for professional advice. Please help OK so, what I meant to say is how do I work out how much I charge for wholesale? Do I charge the full price that I currently sell my items for or do I just add a little bit of profit on top of the cost of the piece? Is there any " standard" percentage? I don't need people telling me I need to be " business like" I just need some friendly advice please If you don't want to help, then don't bother answering
Wage/ employee issue with small business - advice needed. please!?
Hi, For the past week now i have been trying to decide whether i should raise the following issue with my boss or not.For the past 4 years i have worked at a small signwritting design print company. Since i left school basically, i am 20, I earn an ok wage, which i can live with and pays all i need to pay and save, and i also have access, to a company vehicle which i can use outside of work hours and at weekends.I can pretty much do everything, i feel i am a fairly able designer, and i can use every piece of cutting and printing Equipment and maintain them well. I also deal with alot of our customers on a daily basis and have even run my own jobs before.Recently a new employee who i know fairly well, from the local pubs etc started working and it came up in conversation last week that he earns 11 pounds more a day than i do. He is a very hard worker, maybe even more so than i am at times, but he is completely computer illiterate and seems to show no interest in any of the machinery. He basically is just helping out with all the more physical sides of the job. Hes been working here over a month now, and i can tell he has no real interest in it, like i do, hes just here for the money He is quite a bit older than me, which is why i think my boss might be paying him more. He also doesn't have access to the company vehicle which is obviously worth more that 11 pound a day.So basically what it comes down to, is that i am comparing my self, working in a business i feel i could basically run by myself these days to basically a glorified laborer cleaner, who is earning over 200 more a month than me.I dont want to come across as big headed or anything, but some of you must know what its like to have been part of a business for so long, you feel you know it inside out, My boss sometimes rings me up to ask me advice about prices, jobs etc. Please tell me if i am just being jealous, but should i raise this issue with my boss? Im sure its because this guy is in his late 20s and I hang around with a load of students, but why should age matter over skill.Anyway, sorry for rambling, And thanks For any help in advance .
