Housing benefit 2 bed house for single person?
im looking for a house. ive seen a two bedroom one that is perfect. my question is the local housing allowance for my city is 320 a month for a single perso for a one bedroom house. The house is 350 a month ill put in the other 30 . will the council still give me benefits for this house even though its two bedroomed?I am looking for a one bedroomed house. Ive seen this and its perfect price, location, size, allows pets etc.

We are a small family of 3 looking to expand. We also need a much bigger flat than the one we have. The living room is tiny and the kitchen is part of it, there is nothing stopping our son from reaching up and pulling something off the counter or touching the oven door. We need a separate kitchen so we can put a stair gate in the door way to stop him coming in. He is 17 months old and only just understands the word, " no" . We live in Worthing, UK. Renting a 3/4 bed house - total monthly costs, approximately?
Looking to rent a 3 or 4 bed house in south UK I expect rent to be about 1,000 but I've no idea what over monthly costs might roughly be for gas, water, phone etc....etc.....do you mean 40 % of 1,000?

Getting housing benefit for a 2 bed flat- what would we get if we move to a 3 bed house?
We currently private rent a 2 bed flat and have 1 child aged 2. Our rent is about 700 a month and we recieve housing benefit towards our rent. We really want another child but if we move to a 3 bedroom house with rent 800 pcm or higher, this is the average rent in our location would we still get as much housing benefit and help towards our rent? We are happy to stay in our 2 bed flat until our 2nd child is born, but after a year he she would need their own room.Both me and my husband work. I work as much as i can as well as raise my family. i have worked all my life. Me and my husband pay our taxes as well as all of you. The flat we currently live in only has very small bedrooms. Can only fit a single bed in 1 room and just get a double in the other. is it wrong to want another child?
